This item works great, is great value and despite the difficulties I had installing it, it's a great choice for connecting digital optical audio equipment. use my home theater system's audio capabilities to enhance my TV/Movie experience, so I needed this type of cable to achieve that. The only problem was that the cable came with very poor installation instructions. Cable. It came with protective plastic caps on the ends but with no instructions on how to remove them BEFORE attempting the installation I was confused at the difficulty of inserting the cable into the appropriate ports. Mind you, this was my FIRST experience with this type of cable. After finding out that others were having the same issue and posting my tests, I was able to complete the installation with minimal effort.
