Not all optical cables are created equal

So I remember the days of RCA cables. They securely connected and worked. These optical cables are not that much. I bought a new 55 inch TCL TV. I rejoice in him; works great for me. But apparently these optical cables don't work with my TV. They certainly don't close securely like they should. ...They come loose and just don't work. I wiggled and squeezed it and pried open the damn little optical hatch on my TV. So of course I have to buy another cable and hot glue those damn things.โ€ฆ

Great value for money - I'm happy with it

This item works great, is great value and despite the difficulties I had installing it, it's a great choice for connecting digital optical audio equipment. use my home theater system's audio capabilities to enhance my TV/Movie experience, so I needed this type of cable to achieve that. The only problem was that the cable came with very poor installation instructions. Cable. It came with protective plastic caps on the ends but with no instructions on how to remove them BEFORE attempting theโ€ฆ

For years I've seen connectors on the back of my electronics labeled "optical" but had no idea what that was. I figured it must be some weird video connection needed for devices I didn't have and never will have. So I've always used old RCA audio cables. But I recently bought a TV that didn't have RCA audio jacks and I thought, 'how can that be? How do I connect a TV to my audio receiver? Well it's as simple as buying this cheap thin little cable and plugging it from my TV into my receiver. The

I have many brands of Toslink cables including Monster, Revain, Bluerigger, Mediabridge and a few others and have encountered different issues with each brand. For example Mediabridge, the connector on two different cables broke/cracked in the same way. I managed to glue them together with super glue but the fact that they failed the same way says a lot. I actually had to pry the broken connector out of my amp's socket with needle nose pliers! (Be sure to unplug the device!) The plug of theโ€ฆ

7 dollars lost more than 400 dollars in equipment

As I work in IT, I am familiar with this technology. I had one of the first AppleTVs with optical audio out and one of the first TVs/sound systems to support it, and have since upgraded most of that hardware. Well, as some others have written, they just fit horribly into the ports on my devices, so horribly that the piece of plastic inside my $300 Samsung soundbar (only a year ago) broke. cancel and now NO audio cable works when plugged in; After checking with the manufacturer, they informed me
