What can I say, this tablet is still the best on the market, but competitors in the form of SGT S7 come close and they are cheaper, albeit for android. I will say that you need to switch to a pro from cheaper iPads only if you draw and want an experience with pensil 2 and 120Hz, if you do not have enough 3GB of RAM, if you need good cameras or lidar, you do not have enough memory. For new customers, it makes sense to buy a pro right away and not change it for 4 years. For me, this device does not have a wow effect, especially considering its price, there are objectively enough shortcomings, so hello to Apple) The device is good, but not perfect. In general, I tried to describe the device as impartially and without the usual enthusiasm. Thank you all for your attention. P. S. if you suddenly choose between Air 4 generations at 256GB (2022) and Pro 2022 at 128GB, then take a pro, 120Hz and a larger amount of RAM is more important than 5nm in the processor.
- Let's start with the fact that everything has flaws. First of all, I compare with the iPAD AIR 2022 that I had before it. Pros: 1) 120Hz is powerful, then it hurts to look at 60Hz, it seems that the device slows down. 2) Face ID, a handy thing, I like touch ID more, but that's not bad either. However, I note that in landscape orientation you close the camera with your thumb and problems arise. 3) Pensil 2nd generation + 120 hertz screen, this is a cut above pensil 1 in air. 4) Performance, 714 thousand points in antutu, 128GB in the database, 6GB of RAM, all this is a wild reserve for the future. Air 2022 with 256GB also costs 69990r and loses in everything, and the difference for the user between 128 and 256GB is not as much as between 64 and 128 (of course, in terms of comfort of use, 128GB is already enough for most, but 64 is already painful). Air19 with 3GB of RAM had constant app unloads and few layers in ProCreate. 5) The operating system is the biggest plus of the device, it is iOS that makes buying Apple and Android far from it, namely in terms of usability and the presence of some software. 6) Type C is what makes it versatile. But he does not eat external hard ones, because only FAT32 recognizes. Everything else, please, at least connect a wired mouse. 7) The screen is not bad, the colors are realistic, they do not go too far in the brightness of colors, but this can also be called a minus, the backlight is almost uniform (well, IPS always suffer), black at high brightness is gray, again, on any IPS panel so. 8) Cameras, compared to Air19, are excellent and shoot really well. But not everyone needs them in a tablet. 9) If you really look closely, you can notice minor inconsistencies in the assembly, but the overall level is excellent. The volume and power buttons practically do not play, you can move a little, but in general they sit tightly.
- 1) It heats up, and noticeably. If the Air19 warmed up just a little bit, then here the hands sweat and the cover becomes noticeably warm. 2) The battery holds an average of 30% worse than that of Air 3. If in 48 minutes of the video (did not look for a watch) Air lost 5% of the charge, then 7% are gone here. For 3 hours of video at max. Brightness left 32% of the charge. On average, when working with the Internet and YouTube videos, it loses a little more than 10% per hour, while Air sometimes simply amazed with its vitality. I personally do not like it, I expected approximately equal results, because I do not play and the excess power of A12z should not affect the battery. 3) It sometimes freezes (there are delays in menu transitions), this is more the fault of iOS14 and application optimization, but at 120Hz it is noticeable, unlike 60Hz. Nothing critical, but sometimes something can stick. This is a word about the mythical super-optimization of iOS. An unbiased user will not notice all this, infa weaving. 4) Problems with inactive buttons and zones in applications and menus in landscape orientation, but this is hello iOS, the problem is clearly not hardware, but software. 5) Fragility, but there is already a nitpick from everyone, a nitpick, because any tablet with a thickness of 5.9-6.5 mm will be fragile due to the thickness-screen area ratio. 6) For me, the old design and materials were better, when you take Air2022, it feels more solid and premium device, but here, sorry, it looks like Samsung tabs, in short, I love the touch ID and the old design from Pro2022. 7) Drawing with a pencil warms it up more games and the battery flies away just instantly, but it was also in Air19. 8) The price of official accessories is depressing. 9) Lidar is not needed 99% of the time. 10) The screen has more natural colors, so the Air3 has a richer one. And the main drawback, a picky user, having bought Air19 for 39k, except for type C connector, will get exactly the same experience, in some places even better, and the price differs greatly. Therefore, the Pro will remain a device for fans.
