This camera's manual says there is an "anti-shake" setting for photos and videos. I was able to turn it on for photos, but after going through all the menus I couldn't find a way to turn on stabilization for videos. A short video is attached to the review showing that stabilization is essential. Attempting to use the video camera function while walking on the sidewalk caused the image to shake so much that it was impossible to view. The two stills in the overview are photos of my backyard taken at the widest angle and maximum telephoto lens. In the telephoto setting, the image is rather blurred. Although the camera hasn't been set to the highest possible resolution, the quality is still not very good. The video function of this camera is best used with the camera on a tripod, for example when filming unpacking or testing products. Trying to record videos while holding the camera is too shaky. This is a camcorder that can be useful for beginners, but few will be satisfied with the result. It's not bad as a camera, but you can get equally good or even better photos with most modern smartphones.
