Needed a large hard case that would fit sunglasses or reading glasses and would be safe for my 92 year old mother even in a large bag the assistants use when she she uses go to appointment. It closes tightly, but she can open and close it herself despite her arthritis. This suitcase is large and well made. The beautiful pattern is a delight and it comes with a matching carry case and wipe. It's big, so if you need to carry your glasses in a smaller but less secure case, you can use a case, but it's made out of unreinforced fabric.
