Review on Honda Engine Hour Meter Model 08181-ENM-036AH by Carlos Barrett

I bought this and installed it quite easily but during the test run the display died and randomly came on again. I could bring the display back by pressing the meter on the back, but it will quickly dim again. Rather than return the meter, I took it apart and found that the negative (-) leg of the internal battery was not soldered to the component board. Unfortunately I couldn't solder the leg as it goes through the circuit board directly behind the display. In case anyone is wondering, the internal battery is a standard CR2032 lithium battery, located right through the middle of the potting material. In theory, you can dig it up and replace it after your battery dies.
