Good quality fittings but lack of design execution. offer a stronger and more stable mounting system for the Escort iX and the new Escort M1 street camera. (Don't waste your money on a traffic camera). The mount was professionally installed by my authorized escort installer and the mount looks great. The problem is that it sits just below my factory rear view mirror (I don't have a "smart mirror" in my 2020 Silverado, so I have to flip the switch under the mirror to switch from day to night mode). I can't do this without first rotating the back of the detector (still attached to the mount) down to get enough clearance and then rotating it back to remove it from the mount. If you leave the hinge free enough to perform this action without moving the entire mirror stem, it will lose a little bit of maintaining its directional position while driving.
