I use it as marker lights. I bought 360 degree mounts for this type of light and point out left and right and both down to be more visible to moving traffic. They work great at night but I have my doubts about their effectiveness during the day as the light is bright during the day but is scattered by daylight and you have to look straight ahead to notice anything. You also have to be careful that the lamps are not in the field of vision, as they can burn the retina or something similar. The bulbs are very cheap quality which is not surprising given the price but disappointing as I got another direct drive bulb for half the price and better bulb quality. I only keep this product because the lamp's beam range is very short, which works well when they are sideways and aimed at cars next to me most of the time. It's pretty much a no-frills blinding lamp. I only recommend for side lights or to light the path with lights aimed at the ground. Not suitable for pedestrian or vehicle traffic warning. Added note: After a few months of use, use good branded batteries and you will spend about $15 a month on batteries, but branded batteries are required for full stable performance. I'd say a decent product but the savings issues are a major downside.
