I like that the Velcro is extended and heavy duty. I have 3 other brands and this closure is the best, hands down. It stays secure. I’m not sure about the extra piece of fabric. I agree it should’ve been wider, but unfortunately making it thinner the extra extension of fabric is flimsy and doesn’t stay flat. It’s pointless. Please just take the extra fabric away and just make the band thicker if you made it thin to offset the cost of adding the extra fabric because it serves no purpose. Maybe if it was thicker but you made it way too thin for it to add any value.
