Details say wood and metal. The frame is metal, but the countertop is definitely NOT wood. This is chipboard with a laminated coating that imitates a wood texture. In my opinion this is quite a fake and some of the laminate has peeled off in a couple of places around the edge. It's very small so I'll just live with it, but it's not what I expected. It's a good size and will work for what I need. It has two bottom options. You can have caster wheels (metal and rubber, which is nice) or you can put flat-bottomed metal and rubber feet on it. Maybe someday I'll find and craft a real piece of wood and screw it on top. I think that's nicer. It was easy to assemble. Oh, and sharp corners! Be careful with small children around or find some bumpers.
