Save money - there are better alternatives at a comparable price

I bought this turntable for a number of reasons. I'm home more often, I love music, my birthday is coming up and I've survived COVID. The first record I bought had some problems, it cracked a bit; "It's okay," I thought and asked for a replacement. This replacement was largely dispensed with. My girlfriend gave me some new records. They played with no gaps, but there was a TON of crackling - I thought it was some kind of surface hiss or dust. I cleaned the vinyl and the pen. The crack stayed. I tried my Sennheiser headphones to make sure it's the player's speaker. The crackling was still there but not as strong. At this point I felt a little defeated. I decided to give vinyl one last try, returned my wockoder and bought an Audiotechnica AT-LP60X. I had actually saved some money for the player (which was good because now I needed speakers) and I was familiar with the name. I should have gone with him first! The experience was day and night. The album that was skipped (which I thought I'd have to replace AGAIN) went through with no issues and didn't slam or pop. None of the other albums had this problem on Wockoder. I am using AT-LP60X through Edifier R1280T speakers. Of course I paid a bit more for the speakers overall, but if you're looking to get into vinyl collecting and playing then these are solid and affordable entry-level options if you're on the same budget as me. I also think the promise of higher sound quality drew you in, so just spend around $200 on a decent turntable and speakers. This will likely save you more money in the long run without damaging your recordings with the wockoder player, as some people have reported on other websites and forums. Changing the sound quality also made my experience so much better. It costs a little more money but much better quality. Don't worry about damaging the vinyl.
