Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Genuine Ford CL8Z-9034-A Fuel Filler Pipe: Authentic Replacement for Optimal Performance by Roberto Tucker

Perfect fit for the 2010 Ford Escape!

I got a crude vaporizer leak code from my Ford scanner along with the fuel filler flap gauge on the dash so my first check was the simple fuel intake. After some fiddling, the little rubber O-ring that seals the metal flapper in the intake actually went bad. Since the inlet head is press fit and cannot be disassembled (which would cost $0.40 to replace the o-ring) I needed a complete fuel inlet neck. It fit perfectly and was very easy to assemble. The only major issue was the protection on the old neck which is riveted to the neck itself. So I ended up just installing a new neck with no protection. I think when it gets warmer I'll risk installing it again with a protector. since you will need new rivets and a shield if you don't destroy the old one by removing it. So far so good after about 6 months - no dirt has damaged it. Just remember to cap the gas tank when you remove the old neck or you'll have a pleasant headache afterwards. Highly recommend this product if it suits your escape. It's an easy job and will save you $100 (if not more) in labor for a mechanic. EDIT: After 2 years the rubber o-ring has deteriorated causing the vaporizer to leak again.
