I bought one of these to use in my home setup for recording instructional videos in May 2020. I was a little skeptical given the price, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. I even bought another one for my office. I'm not really into voice acting or anything like that, for me it's just about lowering the signal-to-noise ratio by getting the mic closer to your face and controlling the distance. it is reliable enough. The stands are strong enough to easily hold my AT2050 and shock (14.5 ounce mic, so total weight is probably close to a pound). I also use the second one I bought from my office to record with my Samson Q2U. I also find that pop screens and cable ties offer great added value. You really can't have too many of these. You never know when you'll need it. The only thing I have trouble with is the thread adapter for the microphone holders. They really are hard enough to tighten. The clamping mechanism on the bar doesn't seem to help either. Personally, I'd rather not have an adapter, but rather a larger plug and an independent ring that can be tightened on the other side (just like my music mic stands). But it doesn't really interfere with the overall function of the mic stand, it's just something that frustrates me. Overall very good value for money. If you are looking for a more expensive microphone stand clamp, this is where you can start.
