I can confirm that I've had no problems powering the USB-C from the monitor to my Macbook Pro. This monitor has everything that previous models lacked. Good speakers, USB-C connector under the firmware that has not revealed any glitches so far (tested for 10 days). Will update this review if there are any issues. But at the moment such a wonderful and needed model had to be released by LG.
