Review on High-Bond LCD Screen Replacement for 2004-2006 Nissan Quest Instrument Cluster Odometer Display - Tanin Auto Electronix by Ryan Mosqueda

Serves its purpose, but instructions and support could be better

The description of this item is accurate. Installed on Nissan Quest 2006. My only gripe with this is that the pins on the tape are much stiffer than the OEM ones, causing the tape to protrude 3/8" off the board. This complicates installation as you can't bend the tape 90 degrees and if you do you can't get it back. It is very difficult to return it. I understand the return policy for a damaged product, but when you have a product that is so easily damaged, there should be better and clearer instructions than the actual YouTube video. A few things to note about DIY installation, there are ribs on the circuit board that hold the LCD in place. They can break easily. It doesn't take much pressure to break them. I clicked two while taking out the old LCD. Also, do not forget to mark the arrows of the speedometer and tachometer. Make sure the large display ribbon is properly seated back into the circuit board. Once installed, this good solution is much cheaper than going to the dealer or mechanic.
