The media could not be loaded. I've been doing a lot of DIY with kits and needed something to hold the instructions. They work great for this purpose. They do have some weight, but I can't tell if it's a solid copper/brass rod running through the entire piece of wood or just at the ends. It feels like it's going to go through anything, but it's not that heavy so it might just be a hollow bar with end caps. Regardless, it looks good and performs well for what I need. The woodwork is very nice, no stains. Where wood meets metal, the surface is smooth with no edges; Metal flush with wood. No jagged edges. Generally very pleasant.
