Very satisfied. The flap works very well and makes the grilling process more pleasant. A simple flap that only uses a pin activated by pressing the handle, like in an old flour sifter. This is significantly larger than the Weber chimney I had for 10 years (finally rusted). It burns coals significantly faster than the Weber, likely due to the larger base and number of vents. Putting newspaper under the base is a little tricky as it is larger and won't get crumpled newspaper stuck in it like a narrower base. The heat shield is pretty small so I took no chances and put on oven mitts. My biggest problem is the rivets holding the sheet metal together and the grip is loose; they look like aluminum. Even after ten years and all the rust, my Weber is still firmly riveted. Another small issue is that the shine is completely gone on first use. I hope this is not indicative of low grade metal and a scarce resource
