I bought the Clever Chef Milk Frother, Hot and Cold Milk Warmer with Maximum Flavor, 2 Cup Capacity, Black, to Prepare Cold Froth for Cold Coffee. Since it's specifically designed for cold milk froth and is smaller than a traditional French press (so I can save milk or keep it in the fridge) I was hoping this would be a good solution. Unfortunately, although it is foamy, it is not very thick, so it quickly becomes liquid again. I'm not an engineer so I can't say for sure why it doesn't work as well as a French press, but I think it's because the frothing disc isn't large enough in diameter to fit snugly against the inner walls of the decanter . This way, when pumping the press, the milk flows through the gap between the disc and the walls of the carafe instead of being pushed through the frothing disc. This causes some of the milk to froth and some of the milk to remain liquid, compromising the structural integrity of the froth. Tl; dr: The cold milk frother is poorly constructed resulting in a dull cold froth. I do not recommend.
