There are products you expect people to love and there are products you don't. For the past few weeks, my family has been saying how much they love this buttery dish. A few years ago we had "butter bells" that do pretty much the same thing but also need water to create a seal and the oil has to be soft at all for you to put it in the bell. But here you just open the lid and throw in a new packet of oil. I haven't had any issues with freshness, not sure if it's because it keeps the oil fresh or because softened butter is so convenient it doesn't last long enough to go bad.
