Alkalinity remained at 6.5
This product did not work as described. I used pH test strips to compare purified water to regular tap water and Brita filtered water. Alkalinity has not changed after 4 treatments! The taste of the water has changed, but the alkalinity has stayed around 6.5. I figured maybe the test strips weren't working, so after adding baking soda to a glass of Brita it showed a result of 9.0. So the stripes work. I will contact the company for an exchange or return.
