Review on Ortofon Stylus Arkiv Replacement by Tim Duncan

I bought this replacement for use with the Ortofon Nightclub MKII trolley and it sounds identical. I decided to experiment with this on a Nightclub MKII wagon. Although I use the original DJing pen, I dedicated this replacement to my vinyl ripper only. Output from my Technics 1200-MD5 through my Pioneer mixer to my Pioneer receiver and out my Infinity speakers. I put the same new record on two different turntables, one with a completely original trolley and Ortofon Nightclub MKII stylus and the other with this Arkiv stylus on a Nightclub MKII trolley. I honestly couldn't tell any difference. The frequency balance sounded the same for all needles. Both are quite bright and prefer high frequencies. Perhaps the carriage itself had more to do with sound than the stylus, but I couldn't tell the difference. Of course, Ortofon is not so quick to persuade us and produces the same stylus for both, with different colors and different prices. For each?
