Ortofon Stylus Arkiv Replacement Review

Great product! These were long overdue replacements for my turntables. the sound became noticeably clearer and better, especially in the high-frequency range.

One of the best stylus pens on the market. It has excellent output volume and is elliptically shaped to reduce record wear. Much cheaper than its Shure competitor and frankly with the same or very similar quality.

Just started using it and only for listening so far. I expect to say many differences to PRO. It may be a bit brighter, maybe a bit louder and less warm than the PRO. I would like to do another test to see. I will add a review as soon as I write with it.

I ordered this stylus about 10 years ago because it was recommended for digitizing vinyl albums. Apparently the stylus itself is forked to receive both stereo recording channels. In fact, it works very well. I recently ordered a replacement pen and digitized about 100 albums (using the digitizing program Audacity) with excellent results. So far the results have been very satisfactory.

Can't say enough about this replacement. I was about to replace the needle on my Ortofon Concorde Nightclub Mkii wagon with the original needle but decided to take the advice of the first reviewer (Matthew). Wow!
