Bought this mount here on Amazon for over $12. I ordered this magnetic car phone mount from RAXFLY because this mount had a longer vent hook to better fix the mount in the car interior air vent and because this mount needed to have strong magnets. I needed a magnetic mount because there was a metal ring holder on the back of the phone - and therefore my old regular mount no longer fitted the phone. Unfortunately, the magnets on this mount aren't very strong - definitely not as strong as the speaker magnet. The mount includes some sort of metal (?) sticker that can be stuck to the back of the phone. BUT my phone already had a metal ring holder on the back of the phone. The mount magnet was quite strong but the phone kept sliding on the mount and eventually the phone could fall to the ground. not good. do not want it. So I took a metal hanger and cut and bent a piece to hang from the back of the hanger to make a do-it-yourself resting place for the phone. The weight of the phone as well as the impact of the car worked against the mounting magnets as the magnets really are NOT super strong. Amazon's description sounds like the magnets are really strong BUT the magnets could be a lot stronger. If you've dabbled with speaker magnets before, you know what I'm talking about and will be disappointed to find that the magnets on this mount are nothing compared to them. Either way, just add a homemade phone seat prop and you're good to go. Otherwise, this mount is solid and shouldn't fall off the vent. It's just that the magnets are definitely not very strong, so it's a good idea to make and attach a DIY seat stand for your phone to sit on. Overall rating: two stars because the magnets are not good enough. At least the hook is long enough to hold the mount in place. BUT you need to change it yourself by adding a seat stand to make it better and safer for your phone.
