Review on Samlex SSW-1000-12A Pure Sine Wave Inverter - 1000W, 12V by Jason Marquez

I bought this unit to replace an unnamed unit from China that had suffered user shock. I have used Samlex Solar units in the past and had high hopes for a quality unit. This device has been used four times in the past year to power a small soldering gun. One morning I discovered that the battery in my car was dead. When connecting the charger to the car battery, the inverter fan started. The inverter was not turned off with the remote control or by removing the remote control and turning off the main power switch. I had to disconnect the circuit breaker from the car battery to turn off the inverter. After restarting the switch, the device remained off until the power was turned on with the main switch. The display shows an output error and nothing is connected. I can't troubleshoot. I would not recommend this device. Big disappointment.
