Review on Control Bedroom Outlets Dimmable Charging by Jon Johnson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Beautiful appearance and light output. The lack of an on/off button adds to the frustration. Makes noise

I love the look of these lamps for use in our bedroom. I also like the ability to turn the light on and off with one touch and similarly adjust the brightness sensitivity with a simple touch of the base. The bulb can be any standard. What frustrates me: 1. You have to switch between the brightness levels 1, 2, 3 and off by tapping the base several times. There is no on/off switch to quickly turn the light on and off. Turn off the light quickly? Click a few times. Failed too many times and returned to level 1 instead of shutting down? Touch the cycle again until the desired setting is reached. Yeh! 2. When I grab a lamp to move it, I always accidentally change the state of the light just because I touched the base. Would you like to move the lamp a few centimeters away from the table? To do this, click on the side of the base. If you accidentally touch the top of the base, you just looped the light status.3. If you plug the lamp into an outlet controlled by a wall switch, forget it! For example, if you set the lamp to brightness level 3 and turn the outlet off and then back on, the lamp will stay off. At level 3, it will not turn back on. The lamp has no memory setting for the last state. It just keeps starting, making it useless with an external switch.4. The power cord is black. It doesn't match the lamp's color scheme, making the cord look out of place. Loud even when switched off. I do not recommend.
