I bought my daughters 5 and 7 years old for a light hairstyle in the morning. We have had many headbands but they either slip off easily (no teeth), hurt (too tight) or tear easily. I wanted headbands for my girls that would stand up to their active lives and not get sick, but still stay in place and look cute. The ones in the stores were either too expensive or too cheap. So I checked here. My 5 year old daughter is the pickiest - she likes to look "cute" (which means lots of glitter and flowers for her), but she also doesn't like anything that hurts in the slightest. So far (almost a week) the only complaint I've heard from her is that the headband hurts when it's over her ears (she only said that once). She said she just pushes them back a little and everything is fine. With no bandage they stay perfectly in place all day so my girls have to adjust them from time to time. But they are definitely better than nude headbands! Plus, glitter is a lot of fun! The colors go with every outfit and they often change their headbands. The first bandage I pulled out was a silver bandage. I have a few pieces of glitter on my hand, but that's about it (I literally meant a few - TWO - pieces). We had no problems with others, at least I didn't notice it! Although the bandages are not soft. They're plastic with a spiked, shiny tip.
