Review on Ultimate Arm Sling® Average Adult by Mark Tarnowski

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Really good sling with a few minor blemishes

Conclusion: I would buy it again despite the minor blemishes. My injury was a broken left collarbone which is not a dominant side. I wore this sling almost 24/7 for about 4 weeks, after 1 week of wearing Instacare provided a sling + bandage (please note I did not purchase the Joslin bandage). Bad: - Shoulder strap could be wider. Shouldn't be much larger, like 1/2 inch wider. This helps distribute the weight of the arm in the sling. And also be wider than the velcro so there is less chance of exposing the velcro. Fabric stretches, especially the shoulder strap. It could be a bit reinforced in the forearm area. Pros: Extremely easy to set up, don and adjust with one hand without extra help. The material is reasonably breathable and comfortable for what I expect from a sling.Had no problem wearing it on my chest/belly under a shirt as I couldn't get my arm through my shirt sleeve for weeks. - Except for being stretchy, it's quite durable, especially the velcro which bothered me at first, but no signs of the velcro failing after all this time of wearing, very light, no metal is used so leave it at x-ray can be. or go through airport security. The thumb loops at the end are convenient and overall comfortable. For the size I got the average adult. And I usually wear XL size clothes and have 35-36 sleeve length for shirts. The belt was about an inch below my ankles. Note: I've also tried another split strap that's popular around here and found the Joslin much better.
