This is a large, thin and very soft swaddle blanket. In my opinion it's not ideal for swaddling a baby in the summer as I find it less breathable than other muslin fabrics (with a more airy/waffle structure). We bought this when our daughter was a newborn and I have used it for many purposes. Spit out the washcloth, tuck her legs into the car seat or stroller, and wrap her up for an afternoon nap. We liked to wrap ourselves tightly in two muslin shells at night, so we didn't use that blanket if it got too hot. She is now over a year old and loves to cuddle with this muslin because it is incredibly soft. The color and fringe have held up well to the last 12 months of washing!
