This is a VERY solid bar clamp. I have a Sony A7 in a Vararon Zeus cage and had to carry a Vlock battery to power the Sony and Atomos Shogun. I wanted a smaller rig that wasn't mounted on a shoulder rest so I bought 2 of these, cut some cheap 15mm rods to about 7 inches and with the vlock plate that the rod clips attached I have a vlock -Battery on the side handle and it's incredibly strong with those rail blocks
