Review on 🌞 Step2 Summer Showers Splash Tower: Fun in the Sun Water Play Set by Corey Katchem

I'm a big fan of Step 2 products so I loved this one. The product is attractive and assembly was easy, but there were immediately a few design issues that took the fun out of it. Despite this, my kids still have so much fun playing with it. ADVANTAGES: - Assembly was very easy and quick - Lots of parts are supplied but almost all parts just snap securely into place so very little work with tools is required. It did eventually require screwing in 3 small screws to attach the top, but it was easy. All other pieces snapped into place and we were ready to play in no time! - fun - my kids loved playing with it - small enough to fill up quickly - I just filled it with a large jug from the kitchen sink. and it was full enough for them to play with only 3 jugs of water. - bright colors and attractive design - when water is poured from above it falls through small holes in a fountain/waterfall pattern my kids LOVED: Cons here, the whole point of a water table (fun water toy to play with). To be honest, my kids didn't mind, but it drove me insane that nothing worked.- The water table includes three small water toys: a set of two wheels, a small bucket that spills when filled, and a horizontal wheel Problem 1: These toys don't snap, they just slide inward. My youngest toddler pulled them out as soon as she saw them. I'm not sure why a part that needs to stay in place to work doesn't snap into place. I can guarantee they will be lost before the end of summer. And that was frustrating for my eldest son because he wanted to see how they worked but they were constantly being filmed. - Problem 2: Toys are designed to rotate/move when water is poured on them. I assumed that any water poured into the top would activate it; But the way they are placed, the water needs to be poured into three smaller, specially spaced holes at the top (see my picture with arrows). My kids aren't big enough (and won't be anytime soon) to see where to pour water to get them to work. I want some water poured over them to activate them so they don't get upset. - Problem 3: Even if an adult pours water on the right place, only one of the toys is placed correctly to work stably. The bucket toy has always worked, but the orange single spinner is too tight to spin when water is poured on it (doesn't spin freely), and the purple double spinner is too far back for the water to reach. two small toy holders on the outer edge of the main water tank and they are too small to really hold anything. Side toys slide out instantly with every squeeze. Overall, my kids loved this toy (but I think they'd appreciate water-filled recycled food containers, haha), but of all the water table options available, I'd explore the different features and make sure they work before committing yourself choose a model. I think this water table has some fun features, but unfortunately we didn't like them.
