Best for head shaving

I got this mainly for head shaving. I used a Remington XR1470 (rotary style) which came a little close. Not as close as this thing though. After going against the grain with it, it looks like I used a razor against the grain! It's just incredibly close. I think it actually works better the thicker your stubble is because it seems closer to my head than my face. However, it still comes a lot closer to me than my XR1470, even with the turbo turned on. The only thing is that it doesn't work as well as the swirled style on my neck since my hair grows in circles right on my face. Adam's apple. Tbh although I don't think there will be anything other than maybe a super expensive rotary style and then I doubt it will be that close anywhere. So I'd rather use that and use a safety razor on my neck. Although it works very well for the face. At least as close as a shave with a regular grit razor. Maybe somewhere between using a regular razor going against the grain and being close to going with the grain. The neck doesn't really bother me as you can dry shave with a safety razor once your skin has hardened from the electric shaver (2-4 weeks). I can even swim against the current with a safety razor (after going with the line) and get no bumps or razor burn/irritation and I have very sensitive skin. For the price it's worth it. I bet it's as close as the $250 Braun 9000 series razor but a lot cheaper. However, this is a guess. As long as you listen to reviews and don't press too hard you won't get chafed or broken foils/foil blades. You may have to go through it a few times, but I don't have to go through it nearly as many times as I did on my XR1470, and it's much closer and not missing a tuft of hair. It vibrates quite strongly, which takes some getting used to. This unit is also quite noisy, but I would rather have it noisy and have a powerful motor than one that is quiet and underpowered.
