These days, when going to the barber or hairdresser might not be high on your list of safe things to do, it makes sense to try and trim your own hair as often as possible . I have never thinned my hair before using it. They are very sharp and work very well. The only caveat I would suggest is getting on the cropping side less than you might think you should until you learn it.
