We are fortunate to travel the world and country several times a year on family trips. We are a family of 4 with a lot of electronics. So this surge protector is used quite often. When we get to the site, I plug this thing in right away and in minutes it's charging phones, tablets, laptops and cameras. When we're abroad, I use a plug adapter for this surge protector, but nothing more. You don't need to carry more than one adapter because you can connect anything to it. We can use our US plugs (all of our plugs work from 110V to 220V; the voltage doesn't change!), including our 4-port USB plug, and when traveling with non-US friends US as we do this regularly their European or other non-US plugs are great for that too and everyone is happy. Built-in USB ports are also great as they are of course versatile. I'll admit the cable is thick and a little bulky for travel, but having an adapter and surge protector for all our precious electronics when traveling is more than worth it. I keep it in a small mesh travel bag from Ikea for storage. We haven't had any problems with it on many, many trips! Highly recommended!
