This shelf is a little smaller than expected but for the price it's not bad at all. I left out the bottom shelf and back because I thought it would look better that way. The build wasn't bad at all. I would recommend using a drill to screw the shelves to the sides. I used a screwdriver, it took some time and effort to get them all the way in. They give you stickers to cover the screw holes. If you search for "wood grain" they blend very well and you really can't tell. The shelf itself makes a fairly stable impression. My turntable weighs at least 15 pounds, and all of my records can handle a decent amount of weight. My cats jumped over it without incident. Basically I'm satisfied! If you need something small, durable, decent looking and reasonably priced then this is the perfect shelf!
