Coming from a Philipps Dusk Till Dawn CFL that lasted about five years. I'm not particularly happy with the Philips for a number of reasons: 1) its photon sensor is open and my street light isn't fully closed, the hole at the bottom lets in insects and eventually invites spiders too. , so I probably had to clean it once a year to make sure the sensor wasn't blocked by cobwebs and other things like pollen etc. 2) Philipp's photon sensor is not sensitive enough to light. For example, if it rains all day, the lights may stay on all day, which is totally unnecessary. Minger fixed these issues. The sensor appears to be inside the bulb, which should protect it from the elements and hopefully not interfere with cobwebs etc. I'm also happy to report that it's sensitive enough not to turn on unnecessarily, which saves power. to me. I've only had it for a few weeks so I can't comment on longevity. I only need one so I have two backups that should last a few years.
