READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING. I ordered 7 rolls of these lights. Neither of them had duct tape. So I decided to find something to glue the headlights to both raw and painted aluminum. I've tried contact adhesive, silicone sealant, Gorilla Super Glue Gel, and 3M industrial tape. 3M 96042 double sided tape works well and 3M 9731 double sided tape works great (brown side on aluminum, clear side on silicone. The only problem with 3M products is the tape, which costs $150 per roll, or about $1 per foot Hour I pulled the silicone body out of one end with probably 30-40 lbs of tension Good news the tape is aluminum and paints various types 100% silicone including Loctite but still peelable with little effort Now the winner is Gorilla 8528 Super Glue gel with a green cap. This material was amazing. It made such a good connection that the silicone tubing broke before the connection could fail. Bottom line - if $150 for 3M tape isn't a problem, go for it. The installation from 3M tape is clean and fast If you want to save some money and still keep an amazing connection, use the Gorilla Sekun think glue gel. I used the gel when hanging the lanterns under the boat deck and the thin CA just dripped off like water but the gel drops stayed in place until they hardened. It would be nice if a ribbon came with the product. or have the seller include a printed sheet of instructions for use. The silicone case is definitely waterproof, but it took me a lot of time and money to figure out how to attach it. Hope that helps.
