The provided adhesive does not work on my car's button. Mine is matte plastic finish, so maybe the same adhesive works better on high-gloss finish. In the end, I followed the instructions on YouTube, which uses trim tools to remove the whole assembly, and pops off the button from its back, still easy to install. The button is of slightly lower quality than the OEM one, so do keep the OEM one in case it fails in the future. Overall, it's good value for the money.
