I was looking for a scratcher for my cat and came across this "couch" version and had to get it. I haven't had much luck with my cat using these to sharpen his nails, but was hopeful that he would use this. And, success, he has yet to do any digging with his claws but he loves this thing for lounging and sleeping. It fits my 20lb cat when he's in the loaf position, but even when his paws are draped over the edge and touching the floor, he loves this for sleeping. Even with his weight, the scratcher seems very sturdy and well made. This is a bit pricey, but in my view it's worth it because since he doesn't actually use it to scratch, it will last for a long time as one of his favorite places to take his catnaps.
