I like to set the backlight to red so the toilet night light doesn't wake me up completely when I go to the toilet in the middle of the night. It was easy to set the red color. Adjusting the light brightness is not available on other cheaper devices. We threw away devices from two other companies that stopped working after a few months. It's too early to tell how long this device will last, but I like the fact that it uses AA batteries instead of AAA, which gives it a longer lifespan. With a lifetime warranty, this device is well worth the price.
