I got size medium.It's too short for my girl in size 10, buy seemed to fit around. But my 10 yr old is very thin.On my 6 year old (size 6) it's not too short, but it does not hug her bottom, I can see her underwear through the side by her butt cheek. The same with the chest, it doesn't lay flat against the chest.So I suspect it is meant for a child in size 8 or a husky 6.We will still use it, I'll just get a black tank top and blank undies. Still very cute. Our dance class requires girls to wear bike shorts with their leotard, it's really nice modesty wise.
