EDIT/Foreword: When I wrote the first review or bought the second iteration of the product, I didn't realize it was advertised with a lifetime warranty. I called the manufacturer (this seems like a minor operation as they asked me to send a photo of the item to my mobile phone) and they say they will replace both items. I'll update this if they can't handle it. SECOND CHANGE. They only replaced one of the two I bought and now the third is broken. This one lasted about 5 months, probably because I only used it with my phone and not my iPad. I'm waiting to see if they fix it because I don't have one right now even though I've bought 2 and used 3. I bought one of these in early 2018, the holder top (the part that expands to hold your device) is defective. with normal use after approx. 3 months. But in the end I decided that 3 months of successful use was worth $9.99, so I bought another one of the same kind in July 2018. It broke just like that from regular use on September 24th. If I can't find another that suits my needs just as well, I expect to buy another (maybe 2 so I have a spare). If like me you are price conscious and willing to buy 3-4 of these to get you in a year then they come highly recommended. But please be prepared to take it as a pleasant surprise if they last longer than 3 months. They work great until they inevitably break.
