See attached picture. The metal coffee gator filter does NOT filter very well and the screen is not fine enough. You can almost see through it compared to the other metal filter in my photo which has a much denser and finer mesh that catches the sludge that the Coffee Gator filter lets through. I wanted to test how well the Coffee Gator metal filter would filter the sludge from a typical French press. What I did was place a metal coffee gator filter on top of another metal filter and pour coffee from a French press through both. The other metal filter has a denser and finer mesh and is able to filter out the dirt that the Coffee Gator metal filter lets through.
