protects me: jackets

this is my first armored shirt/jacket; I wanted something "everyday" that would retain ATGAT status. This shirt is pretty comfortable. Some of the jackets I've tried on seem very bulky. This shirt is a little bulky but a little smaller. It has moderate temperatures (60-70) but as it gets warmer it gets more uncomfortable, especially at traffic lights. For short walks I think it's enough. But if I think that in 90 degrees I'll have to spend a lot of time waiting for the green light, I either throw the jacket away or opt for an air-conditioned ride. The outer material is like stretch denim so it moves with you. It also has a mesh lining and a decent number of pockets. I look taller than I really am in armor, but it's not that obvious. The zippers didn't let me down, but I usually use the zipper alone and just fasten the top button and sleeves. The underarm vents (zipped) help move some air and loosen up the shirt a bit, which I like. . The medium is almost on top of me, with no room underneath for anything other than a pair of underwear or a t-shirt. I'm 5ft 8in, 5'7" and a 'former athletic' build. It's nice to have sleeves that don't blow in the wind like my regular long-sleeved shirts and jackets. eventually, but this shirt will have me covered during my favorite driving times - moderate temperatures and clear skies. I think judging by the way she looks, she could do with a bit of rain.

Pros
  • shoulders and elbows reinforced with DuPont aramid threads
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
