Device died after almost 2 years.

It worked well during its short lifespan. I have an Asus PG27UQ (4K/144Hz) that only has one HDMI port, so I needed a splitter to connect the monitor to my two other gaming consoles. The device did its job well with my old PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and Nintendo Switch, but it had issues with the new PS5 and Series X. At times, the resolution on the Series X would downgrade to the lowest possible setting; to solve this issue, I had to unplug the 8K HDMI cable from the splitter and replug it. Only then would I be able to reset to overall resolution back to the default 4K UHD on the Series X. On the PS5, however, the splitter at times would refuse to recognize the console. To rectify this problem, I had to turn both the PS5 and the Series X on at the same time and use the splitter’s remote control to manually switch input. Only then would the device recognize the PS5.I woke up this morning to find that the device no longer recognized my PS5 and series X. I thought the culprit was my 8K HDMI cable, but I’ve since tested that theory, and the cable is perfectly fine. For those who have a similar setup to mine, this device will help you connect your gaming consoles to your monitor and/or TV. However, the splitter won’t last forever; its lifespan will vary. It might or might not last as long as the one I bought.
