Review on πŸ’Ž Captivating Crayola Acrylic Gem Stones and Rhinestones: Endless Sparkle and Artistic Expression by Doris Tran

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Regular plastic 'trinkets' - but overpriced for what you get

There were actually over 100 in this small bag (I had 114) but a great many of them VERY, VERY SMALL! The "gems" are fairly shiny pieces of faceted plastic with flat silver backs. They are designed to stick to flat surfaces (e.g. poster board, cardboard, lunch boxes, etc.). They have no holes (for hanging or threading necklaces). The colors aren't particularly vivid and most of them (in the packaging I received) are shades of green, orange and yellow. The prettiest of these are purple and fuchsia, but I only have five of them. While these aren't bad "trinkets" to make, I wouldn't recommend them for children under the age of 3 (package says age rating 3+). Most of them are very small and will be difficult for younger children to handle. And the price seems too high for such a small plastic bag ($10 at the time of writing this review). The bottom line is that it's okay.

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
