I went through them all and read a lot of reviews hoping I ended up making the right choice. Some have said they are difficult to apply without releasing some steam. It would be dangerous. Others were too big, flexible and let steam out of their faces. I chose this over another popular one with good reviews because it's longer and has a larger 90 degree angle to let off steam. The other barely begins to bend and then ends. It only has one mounting hole, but that's ok. Some have 4 holes so you can choose direction but one might be more solid (haven't tried them side by side). You can rotate your pot to point it in a different direction. Wait until it's time to breathe. Don't wear it while cooking. When it's time to deflate, turn it to the right angle so the valve lug goes through the hole and turn the valve. I've practiced on the lid of a cold saucepan several times before cooking, as you want to do it quickly. If you wiggle and wiggle it, steam can still escape. Holds up well in the dishwasher, but washes by hand very quickly. I'm so happy with this little "fireplace"! Now I don't have to stand on the air vent with a kitchen towel all the time trying not to burn myself! I didn't quite understand that there are 2 pieces in this order. I would like to pay half that amount for 1. This video shows me exercising with the cold pot lid not attached. You can see that it goes well with the IP Duo Plus and is easy to switch on and off.
