I was a bit skeptical about this device because the house is 130 years old and most of the wiring is not modern. Regardless, this device more than tripled my connection speed to a 5GHz hotspot, even when the hotspot is in the same room. Setup was easy. It just worked. The worst thing about the setup was that the two nodes were in different rooms so I had to walk between them to connect them. This device saved me from running a network cable. Our service is DSL with a speed of 60 Mbit/s incoming and 5 Mbit/s outgoing. This test was conducted while I was streaming music and my wife was on Zoom, so the numbers are more realistic than turning off all devices and running the test. When my son moves home from college, I add another node to store the ethernet cable he ran up the stairs and down the hall to his room.
