I don't get bad reviews for the poor design this set manages to keep. It's not the kit's fault; This is Kolera. Is that bad design? Yes, that's right. There are some better solutions that anyone can easily spot, but since new toilets cost around $750 if you already have one, it's a lot more cost-effective to just fix it than to buy something with a better design. The functionality of the toilet is great; only the attachment of the seat leaves a lot to be desired. I found this kit to work great if you follow the instructions. This also requires a dose of common sense and I can see the difficulty when someone has never worked with expansion anchors. The adjusting bolt will never be too tight. Install it the first time and tighten it a few turns, then go to the second step and tighten it a few more turns. That's all. The screw never tightens. Tighten until the resistance to rotation increases slightly, then stop. If you exceed this point, the anchor will simply be destroyed. I was able to replace both anchors and install the new seat in just over an hour, spending most of my time removing the old anchors.
