I have had other NOAA weather radios in the past but this little one is THE BEST! It is powered by solar energy, batteries or a crank. For a small radio it picks up AM and FM very well. The NOAA weather channel also looks nice and clear. This is an adjustable flashlight, emits an SOS signal and has a very loud panic alarm. There is a reading lamp behind the solar panel. You can use it to charge your cell phone. And it's a great looking radio. Feels very soft. This item is very well made. I REALLY LOVE THIS RADIO! I'm so pleased with it I would recommend it to anyone who needs an inexpensive emergency radio that gets the job done and more! Can't say enough good things about it.
