Review on Enhance Mobility and Safety with Jonti-Craft Up-N-Down Steps by Rachel Ford

We have had these steps for a couple of years now - currently being used by a 16 month old and a 3 year old to access the sink. The small plates pictured, which are screwed to the sides at the bottom of the unit, stick out too far and could hit the base cabinet, but we just didn't use them and they work great. I'm sure they are there to prevent the unit from tipping forward in other situations, but in this case the entire unit rests against the cabinet eliminating the need for legs. The sizes are perfect for little ones, the grip is fantastic and all the corners are nicely rounded and smooth. Heavy and strong, Baltic birch plywood is a high-performance block that will last for generations. Although not designed to be transported, it will break quickly and be stored under the bed or in the attic, waiting for the next generation :)
